High in astringent tannins and salicylic acid, this lovely European wildflower is celebrated for its medicinal properties. Young plants form a mound of ferny leaves and bear scads of aromatic flowers beginning in their second year. Also known as queen of the meadow or mead wort. Mature plants reach 3-6 tall.
