Astilbe chinensis var. pumila

This dwarf astilbe is an evergreen perennial ground cover type (not invasive) with dark green, often bronzed ferny foliage to 6 tall; last astilbe to bloom June August with 18 plumes of lilac pink. Most soils, takes bog and wet areas, excels in moist soils, but surprisingly drought tolerant too! Deer and rabbit resistant; takes deep shade, will grow under walnut, great performer!
