All American Parsnip (Pastinaca sativa)

All American is a delectable parsnip with long ivory roots and a sweet, mellow flavor. Delicious roasted, simmered in stews, sauteed, and mashed most flavorful when harvested after a fall frost. Slow to germinate.

• 500 seeds minimum
• Germination: 21-28 days
• Maturity: 90-100 days
• Direct sow first crop as soon as soil can be worked in early spring. Gently press scattered seeds into loosened soil. Resow in late summer for a fall crop.
• Plant in full sun and water consistently.
• Space plants 2-3 apart in rows 12 apart.
