Very showy, large clusters of bright, glossy, amethyst-purple berries late summer through October (starts earlier on this cultivar than species) are the fame of this deciduous shrub growing 3-4 high and 4-5 wide. Sun best for fruit development; well drained, moist soil preferred but takes some drought. Flowers/fruits on new growth. Birds enjoy the fruits. Nice in cut arrangements. Easy to grow and NEEDS a spot in your garden!
