Juncus effusus f. spiralis

This little evergreen (in warmer climates) soft rush is also known as ‘Corkscrew Rush’. Tightly spiraled stems fan out in all directions into a clump 14-18″ tall and wide. Customers always want to twist the stems around their fingers resulting in a ‘tousled’ appearance! Likes it wet, will grow in a pot with a saucer of water beneath it, next to a pond or submerged IN a pond. As architectural as it is cute! Likes to bask in the sun with its feet in the mud (spa day).
