Organic Black Tip Wheat/Durum (Triticum surum)

Black Tip Wheat or Durum has a high protein content of 12-15% and is the hardest of all wheat classes. With its distinctive black awns, Black Tip is a popular decorative wheat – lovely fresh or dried. Durum flour is commonly used in pastas and some breads.

• 200 seeds minimum
• Maturity:approximately 80 days
• Broadcast in full sun mid-April through May
• Loosen soil before scattering 30-40 seeds per square foot. Plant 1/4″ deep.
