Organic Purple Podded Pole Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris)

This tasty all-American heirloom was discovered in the Ozarks in the early 1930s. Tender, stingless beans are deep purple in the garden but bright green when cooked. Hardy plants reach 6 tall and yield a bounty of delicious beans throughout the growing season.

• 40 seeds minimum
• Germination: 7-10 days
• Maturity: 70-75 days
• Direct sow 1-1 deep in full sun after danger of frost has passed. Beans need soil temperatures between 75-85 F to sprout.
• Space plants 3-6 apart; space row 2-3 apart.
