Organic Valencia Onion (Allium cepa)

A mild Spanish variety, Valencia is day neutral forming crisp, delish 4-5 bulbs in long- or short-day regions. Onions have gold skin; sweet, juicy flesh; and dark green leaves. Long storing.

• 150 seeds minimum
• Germination: 7-14 days
• Maturity: 115 days from transplant
• Direct sow deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked. In northern climates, start indoors 8 weeks before last frost date. Plant multiple seeds into each container. Harden off seedlings before planting.
• Plant 2 seeds per inch in rows 12-18 apart. Thin to 4-6 apart for larger onions. To transplant, separate young plants and set 4-6 apart.
