Oxheart Carrot

80-90 days. This hard-to-find heirloom can weigh 1 pound or more. Stout, excellent quality Chantenay carrots grow to a heart-shaped 56 inches. They tolerate heavy soils better than most, but also grow well in sandy soil types. A great choice for container gardens too, providing lots of food value when soil depth can be a limiting factor.
