Pennisetum orientale

Compact, tidy tufted grass (no bad hair day here!) topped in late summer by pinkish ponytail tassels on 2′ stems that wave over the 12″ foliage. Flowers age to cream and last well into the fall season. Nice filler between perennials (especially late bloomers). Full sun, well drained soil, average waterdrought tolerant, deer proof, good coastal choice, carefree!
