Red Mammoth Fodder Beet (Beta vulgaris)

For centuries, farmers have cultivated beets for livestock feed. Nutrient dense, delicious, and economical, Red Mammoth Fodder is an excellent choice for animal and human consumption. Sweet, hardy beetroots can weigh 15+ pounds at full maturity. Greens are tender and delectable.

• 200 seeds minimum
• Germination: 5-10 days
• Maturity: 100 days
• Direct sow deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked.
• Sow 12-15 seeds per foot; thin to 3″ apart when seedlings are 1-2″ tall. Plant rows 12″ apart.
• Plant again in late summer for a fall harvest.
